Participation in IMDS


Dear colleagues!

According to the Russian Federation Government's order No. 1275-p of September 02, 2009, the fifth International Maritime Show (IMDS - 2011) will be held from 29th of June till 3rd of July, 2011 in St. Petersburg.
The Host is Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Minpromtorg Russia), the Organizer - JSC Morskoy Salon. International Maritime Defence Show is held by the support of Defence Ministry of Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Government of St. Petersburg, FSUE "Rosoboronexport".
IMDS was successfully held in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009. It has the stable dynamics of development and holds a special place in the system of world maritime and naval exhibitions.
The Format of the Show is unique today, it combines in united area:
- expositional part in the Harbor;
- demonstration of ships, vessels, boats at the Sea Terminal in Harbor;
- demonstration of naval aviation above the Gulf of Finland;
- demonstration of artillery systems at the Rzhevka Defense Ministry training field;
- Scientific    international   maritime   conferences,   VIP-negotiations, visiting of enterprises.
The exhibition profile fully covers the shipbuilding and naval weapons design: shipbuilding and boatbuilding, propulsion systems, weapons and armaments, naval aviation, navigation and guidance systems, security infrastructure, new materials and technologies. The significant part of exhibit area is occupied by the components, equipment, devices and electronic components, design systems, information technologies, consulting, finance and insurance services in the sphere of vessels and weapons production.
350 enterprises from 28 countries including 67 foreign companies became the participants of the IMDS-2009. 55 official delegations from 47 countries and more than 26000 professionals visited IMDS-2009. The total area of exposition was about 13000 m in 3 halls of exhibition complex, on outdoor exposition areas and on water area of the Gulf of Finland.
The participation in IMDS gives a good opportunity to present the products and developments to the wide range of Russian and foreign specialists, to conduct the effective negotiations with a potential clients and partners.

Participation types.

Exposition participant

A participant (hereinafter referred to as "the Exhibitor" under the Exhibition Regulations) is a legal entity displaying exhibits or promotional materials at the exhibition or advertising spaces located in/out of halls (at the open grounds, within the waters) and in the official Exhibition catalogue; who recognizes the present "Exhibition Regulations", concludes the participation contract and fully pays to the Operator for registration fee, Official Catalogue entry fee; rental cost of exhibition space; equipment rent and other services.
Exhibitor shall not advertise any company being not an IMDS participant. Violating this requirement results in penal sanctions stated in the provision "Non-fulfillment of obligations and responsibility" hereof.

Stand participation

Stand participation covers the displaying of exhibits by the legal entity as main exhibitor or co-exhibitor on the rented area within the exhibition space or outside the halls, or in the water areas adjacent to the Exhibition complex.
The exhibition space in the halls must be equipped (constructed). The assembly of a standard equipped stand is performed by the IMDS official builder. The construction of a non-standard (exclusive) stand may be effected by the Exhibitor's forces or by the IMDS official builder as well as by the other builders pursuant to the direct contracts.

Should one stand be shared by several Exhibitors, one of them in conformity with the agreement between Exhibitors is considered to be the main Exhibitor and the others are deemed to be co-exhibitors.

Co-exhibitor

Co-exhibitors are all the enterprises displaying their exhibits and promotional materials at the stand of the main Exhibitor.
The co-exhibitors are deemed to be the companies who place its information in any form (promotional materials, any designations on the stand construction elements and etc.) or its products at the stand even if the representatives from this company do not participate at the show.
If the enterprises being the part of any corporation, holding and other joint ventures are mentioned in any form at the stand of the present enterprises, they are considered to be the co-exhibitors.
Co-exhibitor should pay the registration fee, the Official Catalogue entry fee, rental cost of exhibition space, shell scheme stand construction, additional equipment and ordered services. Payments may be made independently or through the main exhibitor. The terms of payments between the main Exhibitor and Co-Exhibitor are defined by themselves and in accordance with internal agreement made between them.
The enterprises being foreign exhibitors may be co-exhibitors of a Russian Exhibitor or visa versa.
All the co-exhibitors should be indicated and listed in the participation contract on services to be concluded with the main Exhibitor.

Indirect Exhibitor

Indirect participation (exhibition space and equipment is not ordered) includes the Official Catalogue entry, placement of the promotional poster A1 (book size) at the indirect participation stand, the placement of A4 promotional materials (leaflets, brochures, etc.) up to 100 copies in literature racks at the indirect participation stand; 2 badges (passes) for the Exhibitor's representative valid for the whole period of the exhibition. The poster and promotional materials should be delivered to the Operator's address by the 1st of June, 2009. In addition, the promotional materials of the Indirect Exhibitor may be placed for extra charge at the advertising spaces located inside the exhibition complex area.
The official Catalogue copy may be mailed to the Indirect Exhibitor by post or is available at the stand of the Operator during the exhibition.


Business-Visitor (Business delegations)

The enterprises not participating in the IMDS expositional section are offered a service package "Business-Visitor" (Business delegation) which includes:
- personal badge (pass) valid from the 24th till the 28th June, 2009 with the full name of the visitor, his position, and the name of the company being indicated there;
- the IMDS official catalogue copy;
- insertion of company in the business delegation list;
- the possibility of attending the events taking place on the exhibition complex area.
